Our focus this week was mainly on the letter G and the book of Exodus, particularly with regard to Moses leading God’s people out of Egypt.
We began our week off with a sensory project from Little Saints. Isa created a touch picture of a ship in the Sea of Galilee. Within the picture are a number of different textures created by different materials. Afterward, we talked about the different textures in her picture. I think she quite enjoyed this activity. She colored the boat brown and water blue with crayons. Produce netting was used to make the fishing net, sandpaper used for the sand on the shore, crumpled aluminum foil used as rocks, and cotton balls used as clouds.

Next we had some fun coloring a picture of grapes and then decorated a green letter G with glitter. What little girl doesn’t love glitter?! As you can imagine glitter ended up everywhere but Isa had fun and that’s all that matters.

And finally, the second Red Sea picture was inspired by Little Hands to Heaven. Isa has been asking over and over to paint, so she was thrilled to get the chance with this project. She used finger paints to create the parted Red Sea. She even decided to paint her face while she was at it.
Next week we move onto the letter H. I have done absolutely no prep work whatsoever for next week yet, so I had better get on it!
Poor Mr X has his first 3 teeth coming in simultaneously right now, so he’s not a happy camper. My normally great baby is now very irritable and not sleeping well at all (not even naps)…which means momma’s not sleeping much either. Hoping this phase passes quickly, we could both use a good nights rest!
