Week 2 ended up being a 4 day week as far as preschool activities go.
Monday we took as a slow day since Mr X was rather on the fussy side. Isa took her own initiative and started practicing her threading on one of her Learn and Grow activities that we started last week.

Since we don’t have building blocks yet, for a building/stacking activity, we improvised. Isa stacked tubs of Play-Doh instead.

Gluing her tambourine (in a not-so-straight line)
She learned to paint with a paintbrush and practiced gluing with a bottle rather than a glue stick. Gluing isn’t quite her strong suit yet, but practice makes perfect. She did good for her first attempt at it.

Trying to blow bubbles
Isabella had a ball chasing bubbles in the backyard. She attempted to copy mom and blow the bubbles herself but was unsuccessful. But hey, at least she tried! And much to mom’s dismay, this did nothing to tire her out!
Her final project for that day was the My Body activity from the I Belong to God section of Little Saints. This was a fun activity that required a bit more of mom’s (and dad's) help. Isa enjoyed pointing out the body parts on herself and then the corresponding body parts on her ‘portrait’.

Wednesday we worked on "The Heavenly Jerusalem" art project from Little Saints while listening to Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from Messiah. This project allowed her to practice holding a writing utensil correctly, colors, shapes, and textures while also developing her motor skills.

Thursday she had lots of fun with a Little Saints activity involving pointing out body parts on both herself and her felt ‘person’, whom she also put felt clothes on.

Showing mom where the feet are.
And that wraps up our second week of preschool!
