Well, we’ve got another exciting week under our belts now. Last weekend my dad came up for a visit which was a real treat for the kids. We all went to the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch which the kids enjoyed despite the untimely heat wave. The kids got to see a whole bunch of animals in the petting zoo. Isa played on the slide and giant jump pillow. We also went on a hay ride and picked out a pumpkin.

Later in the week, the kids went to Babygarden at the library for the first time. They had fun and afterward I took them to the pet store to look at all the rodents, birds, reptiles, and fish.
We finished the week by wrapping up the letter H and I in preschool.
Isa made a handprint dove to represent the Holy Spirit for the letter H.
For the letter “I” we made an infant Jesus in a manger. She loves babies and dolls so it was so sweet to see her cradling her infant Jesus in her arms all afternoon. She did not want to put it down, not even in the “manger”.

And finally we focused on insects when working with the capital and lowercase letter “I”.

I will leave you with one last candid of the kids. Now that Mr X is crawling all over the place, Isa has decided that crawling is more fun than walking sometimes. Due to the low lighting and use of a cell phone the picture is a bit blurry but I couldn’t resist sharing.
