Preschool Week 10

Due to how busy life is getting as our new home construction nears completion and moving day fast approaches, our preschooling is taking a bit of a backseat temporarily. Week 10 has actually been split up over two weeks and has been much lighter than a typical week usually is. So that is why this update will be less substantial than usual.

Our focus was mainly on the letter F and things that start with F. Again, I had to keep things simple for the sake of time.

We started off making a beaded Christian symbol which is also a fish.

Next, we made a frog out of circles and ovals.

Isa loves doing puzzles and puzzle games on the tablet. She picks up on them very fast and loves to play them. She plays her puzzle games on the tablet every day and is constantly asking to play them.

One day we went on a scavenger hunt for flowers and feathers. We didn’t find any loose feathers, but we did find 4 geese who were covered in feathers! Lucky for us, it was a lot easier to find flowers.

Our next project involved making a ‘Tongue of Fire’ which represented the Holy Spirit sent by Jesus after he ascended into Heaven. This was a Little Hands to Heaven activity.

Lastly, since we were on the subject of the fire of the Holy Spirit and the letter F, I lit her Paschal candle for her to observe a real flame and let her blow it out on her own.

And that about wraps up week 10. Due to our closing next week and subsequent move into the new house, we will be taking a break from preschool for a few weeks. We’ll pick school back up again once we are moved into the new house and things settle down a bit. I guess we’ll call this our ‘summer break’!

Until next time, wish us luck with our big move!
